Facial cleansing

Facial Cleansing Should Be Adapted To The Skin Type

Anyone who wants to have beautiful, healthy skin should eat well, get enough sleep, and protect themselves from UV rays.

Of course, the skin also needs to be properly cared for, with the right cleansing products, which can vary depending on the skin type.

There are different types of skin: normal, oily, dry, and combination. However, the condition of facial skin can be affected by different factors.

For example, according to the German Association of the Personal Hygiene and Laundry Detergent Industry (IKW), diet, alcohol or tobacco consumption, hormones, climate or ambient air all play a role.

It starts with a basic cleansing. A gently creamy cleansing emulsion usually contains replenishing and moisture-regulating ingredients and is suitable for all skin types, but especially for dry and sensitive skin.

Soap-free body washes often contain antibacterial ingredients. They are a good choice for blemished skin prone to pimples and blackheads, regardless of skin type.

Cleansing milk is recommended for dry to normal skin, but can also be used for combination skin.

Two-phase products contain an oily phase, which cleanses protectively, and a watery phase, which refreshes the skin. If you have sensitive and delicate skin, these products are especially suitable due to their relaxing and soothing effect.

The cleansing process is completed with a facial lotion. This way, the association points out, the last traces of the cleansing product used on the skin are erased.

This is particularly recommended in regions with water with a high lime content. The face lotion also prepares the skin for the following care.

Only after thorough cleansing is the skin in a position to properly absorb the products used for its care. One more reason to cleanse your face regularly and thoroughly, ideally in the morning and evening.
