Home Remedies For Gastritis :- What Foods Should You Include In Your Diet To Soothe The Symptoms?

Gastritis is the inflammation of the internal gastric mucosa of the stomach, which causes symptoms such as pain, nausea, or vomiting; although in the early stages, the disease does not cause any discomfort. Along with treatment, home remedies can be chosen that help reduce stomach swelling and regenerate the gastric condition.

This disease has different causes, for example, some non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugsexcessive consumption of alcohol or highly seasoned foods, stress, and, above all, stomach infection by the Helicobacter pylori bacteria.

This bacteria causes the stomach to produce more acids that help destroy food until they gradually deteriorate the protective layer and damage the stomach.

According to gastroenterologist Gustavo Castillo, the symptoms of gastritis depend on the cause, but the most common is pain or discomfort in the upper abdomen, a feeling of fullness even when we have just started eating, lack of appetite, weight loss, nausea, or vomiting. The latter is more common in more severe gastritis.

Traditional treatment for gastritis focuses on preventing the stomach from producing too much acid so that it can regenerate its protective barriers. If the cause is an intestinal infection, medications are recommended to eliminate the bacteria.

There are also home remedies that help reduce the stomach discomfort caused by this disease, such as including some fruits and vegetables in our diet and avoiding certain foods. María José Ovalle, a natural medicine therapist and holistic health coach, recommends including the following foods to relieve symptoms and improve gastric health.
